mexico marvels
hi! well have gone thru belize and am now in Mexico (and have now been to all 7 continents!!)... Belize was great - a lot of people that we met were not that impressed but gotta say what i saw of it i really liked...
Belize City is not the capital (I thought it was) due to its low sea level - always gets flooded - so Belmopan is... Belize is just like any ordinary grungy C. American town.. But Caye Caulker was a little bit of paradise - had fantastic time there! Very crribean feel... And loved the diving as well - did the Blue Hole which was absolutely amazing - 42m deep! and the most amazing underwater landscape - staligmites and caves etc - very cool - but could only stay at that depth for 8minutes... was a very friendly little place where the main street was a sand path where a few golf buggies could provide transportation if you were feeling very lazy - ran into a few people that had met elsewhere along my travels - always pretty cool. Had brilliant weather also.
Mexico City - arrived 1am but have had a good time so far. Altho have had my mobile phone stolen from the room at the hotel which i had accidentally left in the room (apparently a few things have been stolen from other people as well). Went to the anthrolpology museum which was really good and then met the tour group that night. There are 8 of us together - seems a good group. Went to the temple of the Sun and the temple of the moon today - very good. Had a bit of a climb to get to the tops but well worth it!
Anyway just about to get our walking tour of the city, so shall be off!
