Egypt

Well I am back from Egypt... can't believe 2 weeks is over! The only thing bad about Egypt was the sleazy slimy urgh-y egyptian men, the rest of it was great!
Went to Luxor and saw the Valley of the Kings, Hatputshut's temple and the Karnak temple - all very impressive. Did a 2day trip to Cairo - saw the pyramids - amazing stuff!!! - went inside the middle one - and altho people are disappointed as there isn't anything actually inside the pyramid I was still really impressed - you descend down this little narrow passageway (sometimes squeezing past others coming back) and the air just gets more stiffling the further you go. And then you go up a long dark ramp and you then are in this tall little room with such thick hot air you can imagine it being 5000yrs old, and you have over 100m of stone built up around you! Also went to the Cairo museum and saw Tutenkhamon's (bad spelling but you know who I mean!) mask and other treasures, to the Citadel and a huge bizarre, and stayed in a very ummm... not sure what the word is, but it was a hotel - that did have a fantastic view of the pyramids - unfortunately it has not changed since being built in the 70s, the showers just dribbled, and the manager was very sleazy...

But the best part of Egypt was the Red Sea... did a snorkelling trip to Mahamya with Karen ont he only day it rained! - and went to Sharm el Naga - a little beach about 50mins from Hurghanda that you could snorkel off... and did 5 days of FANTASTIC diving!!!! Cruised with a turtle, saw loads of fish (lots of little ones including some baby 'nemos'), followed an octopus round a while, saw heaps of blue-spotted stingrays and giant morays, pipefish (love those little guys - they are kind of like seahorses in case you didn't know...), and... this is the best bit - snorkelled with dolphins - there was 4 and a baby they were about a metre away from me (just underneath, and one of them turned to me, and I am sure he smiled at me, and then did his little clicky noises it was A M A Z I N G!

Now back in the UK - it is 8pm and the sun is just setting - very bizarre! Plan is to now start looking for some work - blugh! :) Later!
